Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark

We stayed here just for a quick one night stay with our kids! Were the rooms in tip top shape? No. Did our kids care or notice at all? Nope! They are trying to upgrade, and when we had a problem with our shower they made it right no questions asked. The staff at the front desk were so nice, and the lifeguards were mostly friendly. They took their jobs seriously, which is saying a lot. We saw multiple rooms being painted while we were there. Is $300 a lot for a room? Sure, but you can’t complain about them needing upgrades but then expect them to have money to upgrade. We liked it here, and we will be back again. It brought back so many memories from when I was a kid, and i wouldn’t happily give them our money again. They were honest, accommodating, and very kind.

Loved the water park. That was a blast! They do a good job with how the life guards work. One morning, we did not get breakfast. The rooms are okay. Could use some updating! Some employees could use some help in the customer service area. Almost like they did not like working there!

Pretty standard hotel room. Bathroom was nice and updated. Everything else in the room seemed a bit older. The water park was huge, my kid had a lot of fun. They have a continental breakfast, which was a bonus for us. The staff were super friendly and helpful

All of the staff we met had a pleasant attitude. Our suite was clean and as advertised. The game room was closed due to a heating issue. The pool was very nice. Warm breakfast, could of been more of a selection but decent.

My room seemed to be okay but the other room we booked, called the tub and fireplace room, had troubles with the heating and had to fix ourselves, no lotion, the tub has a big patch in it, there was water dripping from the ceiling, the best they could do for the heat issue during the night was offer an extra hour late check out, but even then we kinda had to demand it. The water park is really more for kids, there is a lazy river and I think a hot tub, there is also a grill but you have to buy the 20$ wristband for the water park in order to get to it Go durring Christmas and you can write a letter to Santa, and stay in the Christmas rooms (I asked Santa for a taco bell quesarito) And lastly, make sure you feed the seagulls

After reading a bunch of reviews I almost canceled our reservation. I'm so glad I did not! We had a two bedroom one bathroom suite, and it was great. There's a door to help with separation. The linens were clean. The bathroom had been remodeled recently, and was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and small handsoaps at the sinks. The breakfast was plentiful, and had plenty of options. The outside door to the balcony kept things quiet, and held a beautiful view and sunrises. The staff was pleasant, and helpful. The lifeguards are all on top of it. If youre looking for the Hilton or Crowne Plaza, this isn't it. But it was very comparable to staying at Great Wolf in the Dells. Maybe don't order food from the hotel on a Saturday night as it can take a long time, but overall we were presently surprised. They even have life jackets for the little ones in case you forget like I did. We will be back for sure.

Even though the Room’s Curtains were broken. Everything else was amazing. The staff great we got a bunkbed. It felt like I was at a five star vacation. I am grateful I could go there. I go there every winter. The pool was amazing. I played basketball in the pool with the basketball nets And We ordered DoorDash from a restaurant and it came perfectly fine. It was the best vacation

The package deals are worth it, a family of 6 can comfortably stay in a room, all the amenities. There's food onsite, the waterpark was good, even for our teens. Plenty of seating in the waterpark, lifeguards on duty and life jackets available for the little ones. Gorgeous lakeview, elevators are convenient, lots of parking. Included breakfast with pancakes! If you're looking for something that's inexpensive for a large family to enjoy, Definetly recommend. Of course we are a no frills kind of people, if you want the Hilton this isn't it. If you're a low budget thrills family this is your place. Hands down staff were also kind and accommodating. Thanks for a quick adventure!
